Haifa Economic Corporation, in cooperation with the Haifa Municipality, has initiated the development of the new Sports City on the southern outskirts of Haifa.

The central feature of Sports City is a new and modern sports stadium, to be called the Sammy Ofer International Stadium of Haifa.

The main objectives served by this project include:
• The establishment of Interatioanl Stadium.
• To create a sports, entertainment and recreation center for sports events and large-scale cultural and entertainment events and performances.
• To contribute to Haifa’s central position in the country’s sports and to generate economic and commercial activity.

The project is slated to include:
Stadium with covered seating capacity of 30,000, Multi-purpose arena, Sports hotel, Sports plaza, Commercial, recreation and entertainment center, Parking facilities.
Sports City will be built with public funding from proceeds of the Kiryat Eliezer Stadium’s vacated land, from the Sports Betting Authority, from Mifal Ha’Pais, from the Haifa Municipality and from private donations including that of Mr. Sammy Ofer.
